New production of seamless stainless steel pipes in Russia

CYBERSTEEL – the enterprise in Pervouralsk, Sverdlovsk Region, launched a new production of seamless stainless steel pipes. Thanks to this, the company expanded the range of instrumental, heat-exchange and general-purpose pipes for knowledge-intensive industries, and also increased the production of steam generator pipes for nuclear power plants . The volume of investments in technical re-equipment amounted to 12 billion rubles. Of these, 5.2 billion rubles in the form of preferential loans were provided by the federal Industrial Development Fund.

The modernization and digitalization of the enterprise allowed to increase the capacity for the production of stainless steel products by 1.7 times - up to 15.1 thousand tons per year. Due to this, the company intends to halve the import of seamless stainless pipes from China - up to 25% of the market volume, and also fully satisfy the needs of domestic companies for high-tech pipe products.

"We confidently assess the prospects of the Russian market of seamless stainless steel pipes, the volume of which will increase to 31 thousand tons by 2028. Long-term policy on the development and development of new generation nuclear energy technologies, the achievement of technological sovereignty in mechanical engineering, as well as the accelerated transition to domestic aircraft technology guarantee a stable demand for pipe products," said Stanislav Velikiy, CEO of Cyberstal LLC.

Today, the company's pipe products are already used at nuclear power plants in Egypt, Turkey, China, Bangladesh and the CIS countries, including the largest energy construction projects of recent years.
