Russian pipe market participants gathered at the conference in Ekaterinburg

Ekaterinburg hosts the 15th All-Russian Conference “Steel Tubes & Pipes: Production and Regional Sales”. Organizer: Metal Supply & Sales Magazine. The conference is attended by about 150 representatives of pipe and steel companies, metal traders and equipment suppliers.

The first session of the conference was devoted to general trends in the Russian and global market. Leading specialists of steel mills and major pipe companies in their reports told about their vision of the current state and near-term prospects of the industry.

The second session will present managers and leading specialists of companies specializing in the production and sales of small and medium diameter (SMD) pipes. Their reports will cover such topics as the situation on regional pipe markets, supply and demand ratio for SMD pipes, development strategies of pipe companies in the current situation.

Representatives of distribution companies will make presentations at the third session. They will present their views on the main challenges and opportunities for metal trading in the pipe sector, and will talk about current trends in the distribution business. The conference will be rounded off by a round table discussion on the topic: “How the structure of the pipe market will change in the near future due to overcapacity”.

On the second day of the conference participants will visit Pervouralsk Pipe Plant.
