Trends in the development of the Russian pipe industry

At the 15th All-Russian Conference “Steel Tubes & Pipes: Production and Regional Sales”, Pavel Rodin, Director of the Pipe Industry Development Fund, presented a report on trends in the development of the pipe industry in Russia. He noted that the total consumption of pipes in the Russian market in 2024 decreased by 5.5% to 11.4 million tons. Almost all segments of the pipe market showed a decrease in demand.

Assessing the current economic conditions, steel pipe consumption in Russia in 2025 - 2030 will be supported by the implementation of the national projects “Infrastructure for Life” and “Efficient Transportation System”. In particular, in the second half of 2025, the demand for steel products, including steel pipes, is expected to grow given the multiple increase in budget allocations under key government programs.
