Russian and Chinese companies strengthen cooperation

At the production site in Chengdu (China, Erzhong Heavy Machinery Plant), the casting of the bed of the 2800 hot rolling mill for Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works was successfully completed. In order to achieve uniform distribution of metal structure along the entire length of the casting, the technology of simultaneous casting by three steel ladles was applied, which will make it possible to achieve the required stand rigidity and ensure maximum rolling force.

The project team is focused on the development of detailed engineering to ensure synchronization of all stages of the shop modernization. Acceptance of the final engineering version by the customer is scheduled for the end of May 2025.

The 2800 hot rolling mill is the centerpiece of the reconstruction of the plate rolling shop of Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works. Its commissioning will make it possible to produce high-quality sheet steel with a width of up to 2650 mm with a design capacity of 800 thousand tons per year. This will significantly strengthen the company's position in the market of steel products meeting international standards.

China National Erzhong Group and Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works traditionally participate in the International Industrial Exhibition “Metal-Expo” (Russia).
