Russian Railways: in 4 months ferrous metals transportation in containers decreased by 4%

In January-April 2025, 2,558,000 loaded and empty TEU containers were transported through the Russian Railways (RZD) network in all modes of transportation. The year-on-year decrease in the indicators is 0.4%.

“Including, more than 1 million TEU were shipped in domestic traffic (-2.3%). The number of loaded containers shipped in all types of traffic exceeded 1.8 million TEU (-2.4%). They transported 26.9 million tons of cargo, (+0.6%), including ..metalware - 139.2 thousand (-3.1% to the level of January-April 2024), ferrous metals - 69.1 thousand (-4%), non-ferrous metals - 54.5 thousand (+32.2%)”, - report in the company.
