Norilsk Nickel Appoints Head of Global Sales and Marketing

Following the announcement of its new strategy, MMC Norilsk Nickel (hereafter Norilsk Nickel" or the Compan") continues enhancing its management team and announces the appointment of Markus Meurer as Norilsk Nickel Head of Global Sales and Marketing.

He will take up his duties in 2014.

With the new appointment Mr Meurer brings to Norilsk Nickel over 25 years of commodity trading experience having joined BHP Billiton in 2002, where he lead sales teams across a number of commodities and was responsible for the commercial aspects of BHP Billiton global nickel business.

At Norilsk Nickel Mr Meurer will be reporting to Deputy CEOs Pavel Fedorov and Sergei Batekhin.
