Orenburg Radiator proved conformance of its quality management system with ISO

OOO “Orenburg Radiator” (automotive complex of UMMC) has smoothly passed surveillance audit of quality management system for its compliance with the requirements of International Standard ISO 9001:2001. The audit was conducted by certification experts of OAO “Pronap” (Chelyabinsk).

As Head of Standardization and Certification Department of “Orenburg Radiator”, Irina Churikova, said, the audit team had examined the key structural departments of the enterprise starting with senior management and finishing with radiator and press-instrumental production.

The next step of system improvement will be recertification of acting quality system for its compliance with requirements of new version of ISO 9001:2008. At the moment “Orenburg Radiator” is actively preparing for future recertification. In particular, top and middle managers attended training seminars on adoption of a new version of the standard; internal auditors and QMS personnel were also given a refresher course.

‘During recertification we are going to extend the area of application of management system’ – Alexander Kornev acting as managing director of OOO “Orenburgsky Radiator” said – It’s planned to involve into quality management system such subdivisions as legal department, accounting department, financial and wage department. This will help to solve the problems in the sphere of quality more effectively and to increase the consumer satisfaction’.

We should mention that “Orenburg Radiator” has much work in process on certification of its production. ‘This means that our production is continuously under comprehensive check for its conformity with the technical specifications and obligatory requirements proving its quality. This fact is an additional argument for the consumers in favor of production of “Orenburg Radiator’’ – Irina Churikova emphasizes.
