5% import duties on some types of hot-rolled products have been imposed

By its decree # 986 dated 3 December, 2009 the Russian government has imposed 5% import duties on some types of cold-rolled products, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. The document becomes operative after one month from the date of its official promulgation.

Equal import duties will be imposed on the following product line 7209 17 900 1, 7209 17 900 9, 7209 27 900 1, 7207 27 900 9. Today 5% import duty is imposed on products with the following codes TN VED 7209 17 900 9, 7209 27 900 9 while products with TN VED 7209 17 900 1 and 7209 27 900 1 codes are imported duty-free.
