KUMZ to continue investing in its facilities

“Russian market is a top priority to Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Works“, stated A. Skornyakov, Vice-President, Aluminium Products Management Company at Russian Metal and Steel Market Conference in Moscow. According to him, this year’s aluminium semi-finished products supplies to the domestic market in the total KUMZ sales volume account for about 52% as compared to 49% last year. KUMZ’s share in the domestic market by the end of 2009 may reach 29% as compared to 28% in 2008.

Next year the company plans to invest in its facilities more than 1.5 bln rubles to eventually become one of the biggest Russian manufacturers of aluminium semi-finished products and a leading world supplier of aluminium semis to the aircraft industry.
