New recreation centre to be built in Lipetsk

NLMK has begun construction of a modern recreation facility in Metallurgov Park. The centre’s location provides residents of the Left-bank area with easy access to the city, offering them the opportunity to practice sport in their own district.   

The total project expenditure will amount over RUR170 mllion. The Centre will open in 2008.

The recreation centre has been designed by St. Petersburg-based architects using the latest technologies for the construction of sporting facilities. A two-storey building will be situated near Novolipetsky Sports Centre, where it will fit perfectly into the surrounding woodland.

The centre is approximately 4,200 square meters and houses two indoor tennis courts, a workout room, aerobics studios, table tennis, bowling and billiards facilities. The Centre can hold over 150 persons at one time.  

The general contractor for this project is NLMK’s Capital Construction Division.
