UC RUSAL launches representative office in Vietnam

UC RUSAL enforces its presence in global markets and actively seeks opportunities to strengthen its raw materials base and secure the competitive energy supply required for the construction of greenfield aluminium smelters. Vietnam huge energy potential and rich bauxite resources present significant opportunities for UC RUSAL to develop new energy and metals projects and create a full production cycle, from bauxite mining to the production of primary aluminium and alloys.

The new representative office will be led by Evgeny Volosov. Mr. Volosov will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to implement bauxite and alumina, energy and aluminium projects, and developing relationships with UC RUSAL’s Vietnamese partners. Previously, Mr. Volosov, who joined the company in 2004, was responsible for investment projects, strategic contractor partnerships and the development global operations for RUSAL’s Alumina Division.
